The Department
The Maths team includes 11 specialist Maths teachers.  The Head of Maths is Mrs J Vaughan, the 2^nd in department is Mr M Joy and the Maths KS3 Co-ordinator is Miss J Critchley.

Resources
We have 9 specialist Maths teaching rooms.  Every student is issued with a text book to accompany his/her course.  This is supplemented by a range of additional resources.

The Curriculum
Y7, 8 & 9 follow schemes of work based on the National Numeracy Strategy Framework for Mathematics.

Y10 & 11 will probably follow the new 2544 Edexcel Modular GCSE course. 

Y12 & Y13 follow the Edexcel 8371 (AS) and 9371 (A2) courses. Students studying Further Mathematics follow the Edexcel  9371 (AS) and 9372 (A2) courses.Edexcel courses.  Y12 cover C1, C2 and S1/M1 for AS followed by C3, C4 and S2/M2 for A2 in Y13.  Further Maths candidates sit units C1, C2, C3, C4, S1 & M1 in Y12 and FP1, FP3, M2, M3, S2 and S3 in Y13, although there is some flexibility here.
