School governors are important to the running of High Storrs School, because we have responsibility for deciding, reviewing and monitoring many of the policies, plans and procedures within which the school operates. There are twenty governors at High Storrs that make up the Governing Body and we are actively involved in many aspects of school life, focussing in particular on:

• Curriculum
• Budget management
• Staffing and recruitment
• Pupil discipline
• Health and safety
• School improvement
• Performance management

Our backgrounds are varied, being drawn from both the public and private sectors and so bring a wide range of fresh perspectives from our own work environment.
